Tracey Johnstone was drawn home by the lifestyle, leaving behind her nine years at international banking giant HSBC. Her last job was as director, head of business finance for global banking. It was a global role, with responsibility for business partnering all global banking product teams with a combined revenue of around $5 billion, covering capital markets, project and infrastructure finance and much more. She had quite a team underneath her too, managing seven direct reports and having indirect line management responsibility for offshore business analysts. Prior to that she was the finance manager for the leveraged and acquisition and financial sponsors teams for three years, coming from a project accounting contract position. Tracey has also worked for Halifax Bank of Scotland, Dresdner Kleinwort Investment Bank and Land Information New Zealand among others. She has a Bachelor of Management Studies from the University of Waikato and is a chartered accountant.
